EVENT|Billionnaire’s 60th Birthday Party onboard a Superyacht in Sardinia

BRIEF| To create 3 pop-up dance performances to reflect 3 different themes

 

We always enjoy working abroad and when we received a request for 4 of our beautiful dancers to perform on a Superyacht for a billionaire’s private birthday party, we knew this one would be an experience. We got the call on the Monday and we were on a plane, flying to Sardinia on the Friday so it was important that we were able to turn things around very quickly – no problem! 

We knew that the guests were VIP and of extremely high status so it was not only important to cast dancers who were talented and and looked fantastic but we also needed them to uphold a professional and discreet approach. Thankfully we work very closely with all of our artists and feel comfortable in the knowledge that they will always represent us well. For this particular party, the client requested 3 very different pop up performances. We quickly set to work to choreograph dances, book dancers, gather costumes, organise rehearsals and 5 days later we were packed, ready and on the plane to Sardinia.  

 

Well, this job was certainly one to remember. On the day of the party, our dancers were picked up from the hotel and taken to a private residence where they were then transported by tender boat to join the beautiful yacht which was anchored at sea. As a surprise for the client, the performance was kept ‘under wraps’ and our dancers were taken straight down to the lower deck garage to change amongst the jet skis. For the evening's performance we delivered a 1920’s Great Gatsby Charleston to start followed by a Latin Cha Cha then a 1970’s Studio 54 routine a little later in the evening.

To finish the celebrations, our dancers performed up on the top deck while the DJ played into the night and guests danced under the stars. It truly was was a night to remember and needless to say, the discerning party guests loved every minute of the show and we were delighted to make one birthday so special.
